Blog

This is my first official post about living in London. Sorry everyone for the lack of posts over the past month or so. Its hard to get good internet access while backpacking around the continent. Hence, the facebook updates instead. Now that Rick and I are settled into London, with an actual place to live, I can post more consistently (at least I will try - wa wa).

A few tid bits about life in London so far...

To all my fans out there - I am finally making a blog post about our travels. Rick and I actually are planning on putting up a travel blog but we haven't had a chance to get that up and going as we have moved around quite a bit and sticky internet connections are of no help! We'll keep you posted when it goes up - its probably going to be called VUG TRAVEL BUG.

I never fully appreciated the amount of stress other people have gone through when it came to moving. I have moved many times before and always thought, yes its a lot of work but eventually everything comes together.

I just finished watching the movie The Blind Side! It was so great! If you looking for a good heart warmer this would be the choice to make. I'm not typically the type to fall in love with "this was based on a true story" type movies. I usually get drawn to the more intriguing, edgy stuff, but for some reason this one really got to me. So I enjoyed a nice evening sitting on the couch knitting with the film and Rick by my side, working away on his computer. Sometimes its the simple relaxing times that make life so pleasant!

I seem to find myself making these kinds of posts quite frequently. You don't hear anything from me for months and months and then wham, its like I appear again out of nowhere with a post explaining how bad I am at blogging and how I frequently fall off the bandwagon of posting/writing!

I just got my hair cut this morning... what a relief! I should have done this sooner, my ends were so fried - which is the reality you get when you straighten your hair all the time! As always, I left the salon feeling great and so happy that I have a fantastic hair dresser in Jacqui!

At this moment I look like Quasimodo - you know the Hunchback of Notre Dame? I can can only see out of one eye comfortably. Alas, if this post has a lot of errors, you know its because I have limited vision. I realize I shouldn't be looking at a screen too long with my present situation, but what is one to do when they can't drive anywhere and they're stuck at home with this what do you call it? Condition?

If anyone is looking for some more Christmas decor ideas, I highly recommend checking out Desire To Inspire. This is a site that I subscribe to in my RSS feed.
Desire to Inspire always has the greatest photos of all kinds of modern homes with a focus on design. I particularly enjoyed the photo of the dog wound up in christmas lights!

Cheers!

"Is this still Lana's blog?" You're probably wondering. Yes, it is still by blog - I decided to give it a new look. I like to change things up every now and then and I figured this was a little fresher and cleaner then my last theme.
