At this moment I look like Quasimodo - you know the Hunchback of Notre Dame? I can can only see out of one eye comfortably. Alas, if this post has a lot of errors, you know its because I have limited vision. I realize I shouldn't be looking at a screen too long with my present situation, but what is one to do when they can't drive anywhere and they're stuck at home with this what do you call it? Condition?
Last night I went to bed around 1am feeling perfectly fine. I woke up this morning to find my eye was itchy and when I touched it, realized it was shut closed and super puffy! I totally freaked and called my mom because well, Rick didn't really know what to do about it. He thinks its mildy funny but I told him he should be careful or I'll tell people he punched me! Honestly I look like I could have a shiner but without the purple and blue colouring. Nothing a little eye shadow can't fix!
Later on Rick ended up driving me to the Doctor. He didn't really know what to make of it either - apparently there's no foreign objects present, no redness or anything. Just a really puffy eyelid. He prescribed some eye drops that I'm now using and I pray they work. I head back to the Doctor on Wednesday. Puffy eye - no fun!
Post the pics or it didn't happen. I know that you're wanting to show the world. Glenn says that he'll post them on Twitter for his 25,000 followers! :)
I had this happen to me once. I was at camp and woke up with my eye swollen shut. The nurse had no idea, but it got better after I spent the day icing it. Not fun. You feel so vulnerable with only one eye, like someone could jump out at you from your blind side at any moment and you don't have a clue.
Hope you're back to having two eyes soon!
i'm with rick - let's see it!
The photos are horrible! Not sure if I want to bear that to the world. We'll see.
I thought this was going to be a post about how you are now a hunchback. So disappointed.
Oh no, Lana-in-Law! That happened to me in Mexico..turned out to be pinkeye (obviously) but at least I had the super fun experience of visiting a Mexican doctor who didn't speak very good English..he just looked at me and laughed and wrote a prescription. Good luck!?
