Felicity

If I could even be called a blogger in the first place! (3 posts - pah!) Well if you haven't figured it out by now, you should probably realize I'm a terrible blogger - that fantasy I've had about becoming Heather Armstrong and making a living off my blog - definitely not going to happen! I mean I realized this before, but it has become even more apparent lately as I logged into my blog only to realize the last time I posted an entry was in May!

What have I been doing all this time instead of blogging you might ask? Well a lot actually, but mainly what comes to mind is being absorbed in the 1998 - 2002 hit TV series Felicity. The Golden Globe winning television series was created by none other then the famous J.J. Abrams (Lost) and Matt Reeves. I actually watched this on live television when it first aired and had a longing to check it out once more - now being a lot older and curious enough to see it if still gave me the same intrigue it once did so many years before. All I can say is there was no other show I could have been more addicted to in the last few months and I just finished watching the last and final 4th season.

It seems lame I know, but I can't help but feel this sense of loss when something I am so enjoying comes to an end. I know it shouldn't surprise me, but it does every time I finish a TV series, movie, or a fantastic book series. I was so depressed when Harry Potter was finished and over! I get so wrapped up in the story and then when there's no more, I'm like now what? And then I go on this search rampage of needing to find something similar! I guess that's why I love a good series, it means the story will last a lot longer before eventually ending.

I guess the reasons I love Felicity is there is huge character connect for me - I so relate to the innocence and awkwardness of Felicity's character. Not only is this show a fantastic coming of age, trying to figure out life scenarios drama, but its just well written, acted and a fantastic composition of drama and comedy with a great opening theme to boot, complete with beautiful photography. Its the perfect wind-down after work before bed indulgence without the stupid high school drama. I love it! If you haven't watched it or its been a long time, I highly recommend it if you're looking for something refreshing.

"Before bed indulgence"?! Did I SERIOUSLY just read that on your blog, Lana?! I feel like I need to go scrub something now...

Wow, thanks Margaret! I never read it that way, but now that you point that out, I can see it - yikes! I only meant it watching a good tv show sometimes helps me wind down at night! Oh boy!
