Get Out Of My Closet

Its been a busy and eventful last few weeks.

My beloved friends Lavonne and Geoff came to visit us and of course we made the most of keeping busy bashing around London seeing all the sights such as the London Eye (as seen in the photo above), having afternoon Tea at Kensington Palace and just plain wandering and shopping.

Today in London was cooler and blustery, and actually made me believe that Autumn has arrived (in spite of our lovely Indian Summer). I wore my new Merino Wool sweater from Esprit to work and didn't feel to warm. (yes I have been on few shopping excursions lately in leu of my favorite fashion season also arriving). For me, this means fall is officially here!

I love this time of year because it feels like the start of something new and much to look forward to.

Rick and I spent some time walking around the park in our neighbourhood yesterday while the weather was somewhat nice at dusk. This is the more beautiful part of where we live in North London and I thought I would share it!

Finsbury Park is massive and there is quite a bit to it in addition to the lovely huge trees and views of the British brick homes. Lots of space to run, walk and even boat in the fairly large pond. We also found there is a little gardening center in addition to the outdoor workout space, jungle-gym and reck center.

There have been a few eventful moments at work this week for myself, but mainly one sticks out to me!

I don't know how many people out there have experienced this. I was told this would definitely happen to me at some point. Well its happened! We're far past the honeymoon stage of being in the UK and don't get me wrong I'm still appreciative of being here and enjoying most of what comes with it, but I have definitely hit my critical funk. In fact I've been in the critical funk for a few weeks now.

What is the critical funk you ask? We'll its one of those phases where you just can't help but think, however this country does it, my own country (aka: Canada) just does it better!
